It is quite a journey to find out all you can about “moobs”, man boobs, male breasts, or technically known as “gynecomastia”. Not long ago you couldn’t even find gynecomastia in the dictionary, 1995 edition of Webster’s (not there, I checked).

Now with the vast amount of information available on the internet men can and do research this sensitive condition in the privacy of their own home. Some sites such as www.gynecomastia.org even have chat rooms and message boards where men can ask questions of each other and share their experiences.
After many hours of research, one may decide to go to the next step for scheduling surgery. What might that be? Finding the right surgeon. Back to the internet, read as much as you can about surgeons that specialize in male breast reduction. We see too many patients that have spent thousands of dollars, and are unhappy with their result. Secondary surgery is more complicated because there is scar tissue involved and sometimes too much breast tissue was removed that can cause unnatural chest contouring.
